I feel like Steve Martin in the Jerk — “The New Phone Books Here, The new phone books here!!!!!”.

Four days ago I turned on monetization. This morning I woke up and checked my stats. I’ve made $2.42? My emotions are between disbelief and I just invented sliced bread.

I shared this with my wife. Embarrassed yet proud. I told our roommate with my hand up in the air, like I just scored a touchdown. I told multiple friends knowing that it was bragging, but I still couldn’t help myself.

Should I be passing out cigars, like the proud father of his first born son?

If somebody asked me to work over 100 hours, and then pay me only $2.42, I would tell them to go fuck themselves, but the opposite has happened. I am inspired to write more.
